My fiance' and myself just purchased this gym 4-17-09 and have had 3 days to use it, great machine! I have always worked out from the age of 13 to now which I am 40. I got away from the free weights about 8 years ago because I was working our at home and did not have a spotter so I bought a bowflex. I enjoyed the bowflex for years but there is nothing like free weights when you have always used them...I tried recently to get back to them but I just did not trust myself anymore worrying about injury especially when squatting which is my favorite exercise. I was wandering through a Dicks in Tampa when I was on vacation from frigid northern N.Y. when I spotted this golden set from across the room...should I say hook, line and sinker. I am back excited about free weights again without the worries, this machine is so smooth and safe as all exercises have there own built in spotter...very freeking cool. Get plenty of weights so you do have to switch your weights around, crank the tunes and have a great time. I am planning on being in the best shape of my life for reffing next winter(basketball). The only thing that would have been cool to have with it is an exercise dvd to watch someone work through each exercise. G
