The Difference between the Discontinued E-TR 9003 and Current E-TR 9023: The Star Trac E-TR 9003 (Large Shroud) has been replaced by the E-TR 9023 (low profile shroud). These units are virtually identical. The difference lies in the front shroud. The old E-TR 9003 unit had a Large Front Shroud which could get in the way of users in full stride who were near the front of the deck. Users would have to drop back slightly so this wouldn't happen. The new E-TR 9023 has corrected this problem with a low profile shroud so users may now be close to the front of the deck without having their feet hitting the front shroud as well as being able to take advantage of having easier access to the treadmill speed/ elevation/ programs, being in contact with the heartrate pulse grips and taking advantage of the cooling comfort from the fans.The E-TR 9023 has now in our opinion, been completely perfected!
